The melting process of materials such as aluminium, magnesium and zinc takes place through casting moulds mainly made of steel and cast iron. PFB is a company based in Polaveno, in the province of Brescia, which deals with the construction of these specific components for parts destined to factories in northern Italy, particularly in the provinces of Milan, Turin and Bergamo, but also for Germany .

For shaping metal

The casting technique with a press is widely used especially by industries that manufacture parts in series for the automotive, mechanical and furniture sectors. Once molten, the metals are cast into specific moulds for die-casting to give them the desired shape. To allow professional processing in total safety, these moulds must meet special requirements: they must have slightly flared walls to allow the product to be extracted without being damaged, they must be made of high quality materials and subjected to adequate heat treatment .
